Michael Hegel is co-founder and Managing Partner at Hegel Karbenn & Cie. Before that, he spent his professional career with Sal. Oppenheim. After numerous years in the bank’s loan business he moved over to the relationship department for medium-sized and large enterprises. Subsequent to the German reunification he established the corporate banking division for Sal. Oppenheim in the former GDR before setting up the industry group “Energy/ Public Sector” in the wake of the bank’s sector-oriented account management in 1996. In the course of time, this industry group has been complemented by the field “Renewable Energies” and was - under his guidance - able to achieve a market-leading position in the German-speaking countries. In this respect, his clients benefit from his sector expertise as well as his comprehensive network of contacts both domestically and abroad. Apart from this, his advice is also appreciated the scope of supervisory board and other council mandates.
